And somehow it really is. Installing this application isn’t much harder than installing any other antivirus currently available, and during our test it all took only a few minutes until we were ready to start the application.

The interface is the place where McAfee VirusScan might lose some ground in front of its competitors, because developers have adopted an old-school design without modern and eye-candy elements. Still, it’s pretty easy to use, despite the rich settings menu that’s hidden under the main window.
McAfee VirusScan isn’t exactly flirting with computer resources, so you might have some problems on older computers. Scanning takes a while and it eats up a bit too much RAM, but in the end it could spot every single malicious file that’s hiding on your hard drives.
